Lauren Magarino is host of 'The Why' on Scripps News, an hour-long show for the curious who seek deeper understanding of the stories and issues shaping our world. She joined Scripps News in 2018, and has since served as an anchor, producer and national correspondent. Magarino was raised in Miami, and is a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism, M-I-Z. When the on-air light is off, you can call her Lo Mags.
